ABOUT

Where contemporary art and the sharing economy meets

Open Loop is an exchange program that seeks to reimagine the physical and financial confines of the contemporary art world. In a time of rapid change in the art market, we believe in the importance of nurturing galleries and artists. Our program responds to the need for viable opportunities for all stakeholders to access new markets and find support globally. Dedicated to creating new opportunities in and for the art sector, Open Loop encourages global cooperation, dialogue and relationships. We believe in the importance of collaboration and reciprocity to create a thriving and sustainable art scene.

Open Loop is divided into two parts:

Open Loop for Artists facilitates a digital platform for artists to build a community in which they can share and exchange knowledge and ideas.

Open Loop for Galleries is focused on facilitating space swaps between galleries across the world. Please note that this program is cancelled until further notice.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO GROW

Open Loop     Artists: You'll be supported to grow your own skills and expertise

Open Loop for artists is an intimate space for artists to exchange knowledge & ideas, establish new connections from across the world, and support each other’s growth as artists. Through this platform, we arrange virtual studio visits, talks and other opportunities for artists. We know the importance of having a community for artists to thrive and have created this space to strengthen a sense of community, support and mentorship.

Open Loop     Galleries: Where galleries and the sharing economy meet

Open Loop facilitates a collaborative space swap between galleries across the world. Reciprocity and collaboration are the cornerstones of this program. In addition to offering their physical space, the participating galleries can also share their existing platforms and expertise. Through pooling their resources, the two collaborating galleries have the opportunity to strengthen and expand their global reach in an inviting environment. The minimum exhibiting timeframe of three weeks allows galleries to explore the wider community of artists and collectors.
